Rangel Family Goldens – Puppy Contract Overview
Our Golden Retriever puppies are raised with an incredible amount of love, intention, and hands‑on care. Every puppy goes home with a spay/neuter contract and AKC Limited Registration, which simply means they are placed as pets/companions, not to be bred, and any litters cannot be registered with the AKC. We require all of our puppies to be registered with the American Kennel Club, and they may not be registered with any other registry. Even with Limited Registration, your puppy can still participate in a wide range of AKC events — Obedience, Agility, Hunt Tests, Field Trials, Rally, and more. Many of our puppies also go on to earn their Canine Good Citizen certificate, which is a wonderful foundation for future training.
Golden Retrievers are incredibly versatile, and with the right temperament and training, many of our puppies grow into exceptional Therapy Dogs or even Search and Rescue partners. Their gentle nature and eagerness to please make them truly special companions in any path they take.
Puppy Sales Contract Key Terms
To keep everything clear and transparent, below is an overview of our Golden Retriever Puppy Sales Contract terms. Reviewing this ahead of time helps you understand what is included, what is expected, and how the process works when reserving a puppy:
Health Guarantee & Initial Vet Exam: We provide a 12-month guarantee covering terminal genetic defects present from birth. Buyers must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 business days of pickup to confirm good health.
Immune System Safety: To protect against preventable diseases like Parvovirus, puppies must be kept away from high-risk public areas and un-vaccinated dogs until fully immunized at 18 weeks. Puppies should be held in your arms while at the vet clinic.
Nutrition & Growth Protocol: To ensure proper skeletal and joint development, puppies must be fed Dr. Gary’s Best Breed Field & Stream Lamb Formula until 12 months of age, along with Perna Flex-2 joint support from 4 to 12 months. Changing diet or skipping required supplements without prior breeder approval voids the health guarantee.
Spay & Neuter Policy: To allow for proper physical, hormonal, and joint development, puppies must be spayed or neutered between 18 and 24 months of age. Altering the puppy too early or using the dog for breeding without explicit written authorization constitutes a breach of contract.
Lifetime Rehoming Policy: A Rangel Family Golden will never enter a shelter or rescue. If you are ever unable to keep your dog at any point during its life, you must notify us first. We retain the first right of refusal to assist in rehoming or take the dog back into our care.
Pickup & Logistics: Scheduled pickups take place locally at Rowlett Creek Preserve in Garland, Texas. Remaining balances must be settled via Zelle by the agreed due date prior to or at pickup.
